OpenRoad Collision honored to be a part of 11 Vehicle SEMA giveaway

OpenRoad Collision was honored to take part in this year’s SEMA Recycled Rides® giveaway—an inspiring industry initiative where collision repair shops, insurers, and partners come together to restore and donate vehicles to individuals and families in need. This year’s event brought together numerous body shops and insurance carriers to donate 11 fully refurbished vehicles to deserving recipients.

One of those vehicles—a 2020 Mazda CX-9, donated by Farmers Insurance and repaired by the skilled teams at Allard Collision–McKellips location, —was presented to Dennis Moustakas and his family.

Dennis, a seafood clerk at a local grocery store, and his wife, Melanie, are raising five children. After the family fell on difficult times, they found themselves without a home or transportation and sought assistance through Hopelink of Southern Nevada. Without a vehicle, the family’s daily life became a struggle—walking everywhere in the extreme Las Vegas heat, facing challenges in getting to work, school, medical appointments, and family activities.

The donation of the Mazda CX-9 marks a meaningful turning point.

The reliable SUV will provide the Moustakas family with safer and more efficient transportation, allowing the children to get to school more easily, ensuring access to medical care, and giving the family the ability to spend more quality time together.

“This is a true blessing,” Moustakas said. “We are very honored. Thank you so much.”

OpenRoad Collision is proud to stand alongside industry partners to improve the lives of others—one repaired vehicle, one restored opportunity, and one family at a time.
